Ok I'll calm down. The 9th Circus Court Of Appeals has just made a ruling that tries to throw over 2000 years of civilization out the window. Apparently they felt the need to cement their status as the most overturned court in the land. In a case brought against a school district by parents regarding sexual content in a "survey of early trauma" given to their children this court has ruled quote: "there is no fundamental right of parents to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children, either independent of their right to direct the upbringing and education of their children or encompassed by it."
Read that again just for fun! It's like Hilllary's village is taking over, it figures she'd start in San Fransicso. By the way this is the same court that believes exposing your children to prayer and the pledge of allegiance would be unfairly indoctrinating them.
Redstate has more on this including the full paragraph of the ruling in which this statement is made:
The district court dismissed the federal causes of action for failure to state a claim upon which relief could be granted and dismissed the state claims without prejudice to their right to re-file in state court. We agree, and hold that there is no fundamental right of parents to be the exclusive provider of information regarding sexual matters to their children, either independent of their right to direct the upbringing and education of their children or encompassed by it. We also hold that parents have no due process or privacy right to override the determinations of public schools as to the information to which their children will be exposed while enrolled as students.
Flopping Aces has the original story.
The Anchoress says that she'd be homeschooling her kids if they were still young. Good call there.
Musing Minds is appalled at how young the children were.
I really think these people might be from another planet. To rule this way you have to have your head soooo far in to the liberal/socialistic mindset that you can channel Lennin. Or from France, they might be from France. That would explain some things.
