From all acounts W won this round of the debates just by not messing up and seeming lots more personable than Kerry.
Kerry on the other hand made a number of mistakes that are going to come back and bit him. Not the least of which was his dragging Dick Cheney's daughter through the mud.
He also drove a lot of Catholic voters to Bush's camp with his dance around the abortion issues.

Since there were no cluster bombs last night other than the Mary Cheney deal, I don't think this is going to be an election deciding event. However I do think that because of the way Bush came off he has effectively killed any momentum that John Kerry had. The thing people will remember is Bush's personality. Kerry may be a better debater than Bush(like that's hard), but he can't debate Osama bin Laden, or Saddam. And I don't care what you say no nation in the world would buddy up to that man.
