President George W Bush has won re-election. It is now official!
This is a great victory for America! We send a message to the rest of the world. As well as terrorists everywhere.
People will claim that this nation is divided. But look at what happend yesterday. There are now 55 Republican senators. There are at least 28 Republican govenors, including those of the 4 largest states. A majority of state legislators are Republican. And for the first time since 1952 Republicans have ousted a senate caucus leader, and for the first time ever there is a Republican senator from Louisiana. In all 11 states that it was on the ballot gay marriage was rejected.
Add that to Bush's winning the popular vote by 3.5 million votes and I think I can safely say that this great Country is as united as it's been in a long time.
I just watched Dubya make his acceptance speech and I am very proud to be an American.
The mainstream media pounded on Bush. Hollywood pulled out all the stops to make Bush look bad. People called him everything from an idiot to a warmonger to Hitler 2.0 but he never wavered.
I will have more thoughts and reactions as the day goes on. But I am pretty tired right now from staying up until almost 5 last night.
