In his remarks at a White House photo-op on Monday morning, Yawar praised President Bush's "courageous leadership" and said the Iraqi people are in debt to the United States for liberating Iraq.
He said the "armies of darkness" -- the insurgents -- have no objective except to undermine the political process and incite civil war in Iraq. He said it will never happen.
"We in Iraq are committed to move along. After all these sacrifices, there's no way on earth that we will let it go in vain. This is very important. Victory is not only possible. It's a fact. We can see it. It's there. We are committed. We see that we have all the reasons to prevail."
